Wrap Up 2024

A small section where I tell you my favorite book, the one I disliked the most, the most surprising read, the most disappointing read and favorite reread of the month.

I did not have a certain goal for 2023. Happy that I read this amount.

Good start and end of the year with a 5 star read and a 4.5 star read!

I read a lot of lighter books and am glad I do, because I love those more.

Longest and shortest books are no surprises. Next year the longest will be more of a surprise.

This is pretty decent. The length is very nice. The days are also good, I have had it way worse before.

Figures. The longest took me so long, because it was an ebook and don't read those much.

I'm so happy December was my best month. Great way to end the year!

Some fun stats comparing my reading to others.

This stat I hope will change next year. Because it means I did not read many books from authors I already knew (because series don't really count for this of course). So want to have this a lower number next year.

More than half is series reading for me. I'm happy with that number and want to keep that up.

Almost 25% was rereads. I think that is a good amount. So want to keep that up in the new year.

This number is high. I really hope I can get this down next year, but it is hard for me.

I own 63 books and those are all books I absolutely love and want to reread often. I read a third of those this year which is a great number. Hope to read another third next year.

My goal for 2023 was to read less. I read 214 books in 2022 and that was way too much. In 2023 it felt way more fun to read and way more of a balance. So very happy with these numbers. I hope this stats will be different next year of course. Hopefully a decrease of about 10% but we shall see.

I find this always really interesting. It is of course a bit off, because I did not read a lot from certain things, so therefore the stats don't make much sense. But always interesting.

My moods make a lot of sense. I really want to prioritize relaxing books next year. I do love sad books, but they also are not very good for me, so don't want to read those that often. Emotional is a mood I do really love, so that is a good one.

Slow paced books, yeah I do love those. Want to try and read more, but wanted to do that this year too and didn't really. So we shall see how that goes.

I find the book type and genres really funny. Book type is fiction and the genres are all nonfiction. I do want to keep reading nonfiction for sure. I will try and pick up more books from these genres.

Character-driven stories, yes I really do love those. And those kinds of characters I really love which makes sense. I think I will look at that more in 2024 and try not to read books that have the opposite of these characters in them.
